A fantastic trip to a unique landmark - a high-altitude observatory that conducts year-round scientific observation of the sky. The observatory is located in a mountainous area famous for its special astrophysical conditions, allowing to conduct astronomical observations for most of the year.
During the trip you can visit the picturesque canyon of Langar, as well as monuments of Islamic culture in the mountain village of Katta Langar, descent to the active salt mines, where locals mine salt. At the high-mountain observatory Maidanak, you can get acquainted not only with powerful telescopes, but also see distant galaxies, planets and other space objects through them. You will be able to enjoy the starry sky that seems to hang right above your heads. Spend the night in a house built for astronomers. Visit a lot of forbidden objects, that were impossible to get to during the Soviet times.
