Description

Bukhara is the city of the Great Silk Road, where trade routes from East to West converged, caravans with valuable goods - silk and spices dragged on. Local craftsmen of gold embroidery, pottery, masters of minting, carpet weaving and other crafts were very famous.

From May 30 to May 31, 2020, the annual Silk and Spices festival will be held in Bukhara.

Silk during the Great Silk Road was among the goods that are more tender and lighter than air and valued more than gold itself. Skilled weavers of Bukhara, Samarkand, Balkh, Hamadan, Damascus, Baghdad made raw silk of unique beauty in their beauty.

Festival visitors literally become participants, involved in improvised colorful shopping bazaars of silk fabrics and spices, called exhibition fairs. Merge with folklore show programs and enjoy the unique dishes of Uzbek cuisine.

  • Day 1: Urgench - Khiva

    Arrival in Urgench at 17:15.

    Meeting at the airport.

    Transfer to Khiva (35 min).

  • Day 2: Khiva - Bukhara

    Breakfast at the hotel.

    City Tour:

    Khiva is a city open-air museum.

    • Ichan-Kala Fortress;
    • Kunya-Ark Fortress - a citadel of Khiva khans;
    • Tash Hauli Palace (Stone Courtyard);
    • Mausoleum of Pahlavan Mahmud;
    • Minaret Kalta-Minor.

    Drive to Bukhara at 15: 30-16: 30.

    Late arrival in Bukhara.

  • Day 3: Bukhara

    Today you will have a unique opportunity to become part of the amazing Silk and Spices festival.

    Within the framework of the festival, performances of folklore groups from all over the country, holding folk games, various master classes, as well as shows by young designers of Uzbekistan are planned.

    Festival participants will pass a noisy procession from the gates of the Ark fortress to the Lyabi-Hauz complex - the heart of old Bukhara.

  • Day 4: Bukhara - Samarkand

    Breakfast at the hotel.

    Walking city tour with a guide:

    • Lyabi-Hauz complex;
    • Ulugbek Madrasah;
    • Mausoleum of Samanids;
    • Madrasah Chor-Minor;
    • Minaret Kalyan.

    Transfer to the railway station at 14:15.

    15:50 Departure to Samarkand by high-speed train.

    Arrival in Samarkand at 17:20.

  • Day 5: Samarkand - Tashkent

    Breakfast at the hotel.

    City tour begins with a visit to the famous Registan Square.

    • Bibi Khanum Mosque at the Siab Bazaar;
    • Ulugbek's Observatory;
    • Gur Emir Mausoleum is the tomb of Amir Timur and Timurids.
    • A trip to Konigil, where you can watch the process of making Samarkand mulberry paper using old technology.

    Transfer to the railway station at 16:40.

    Departure to Tashkent by high-speed train at 18:00.

    20:10 arrival in Tashkent.

    Meeting at the station.

    Night in Tashkent.

  • Day 6: Tashkent

    Breakfast at the hotel.

    The end of the tour.
