Description

Uzbek cuisine (Uzbek, O'zbek taomlari) - national cuisine of Uzbekistan. It has a deep history, is closely connected with the Uzbek culture, language and traditions.

Uzbek cuisine is perhaps the richest cuisine in Central Asia. The mixture of culinary traditions of the Persians and Turks, as well as a favorable position at the crossroads of trade routes made recipes of Uzbek cuisine very diverse in terms of both products and methods of preparation.

Many dishes have complex recipes, are prepared manually, which requires many years of skill and culinary art. A special professional skill is required when preparing a large pilaf for tens and hundreds of kilograms of rice. Manti, dumplings (chuchvara) are molded by hands, sumalak is cooked over low heat for more than 10 hours. At the same time, the preparatory stage for wheat germination may take several days.
